ICMR Report

This virus is in India is there from 3 months, the mutation doesn’t happen too quickly. Whatever vaccine comes out now, it will work in the future as well (if the virus mutates), said Dr Gangakhedkar, ICMR.

ICMR will start its study on BCG vaccine next week. Till we don’t have definite results from this, we won’t recommend it even for health workers.

He further added that in Japan, to find one positive case, 11.7 persons are tested. In Italy that number is 6.7, in US its 5.3, in UK its 3.4. Here in India, we do 24 tests for one positive case.

The nationwide lockdown is showing its results slowly. The recovery rate in India is increasing and the death rates are decreasing. If the people of India will strictly follow the guideline of government in lockdown then we will soon win this battle.
