Over the past few months, PM Modi has been strongly advocating the message of ‘self-reliance’, asking the nation to strive towards building an ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat.’ In a massive step towards this direction, IT professionals have designed India’s very own super social media app – Elyments. The Vice President of the country, Venkaiah Naidu launched the first homegrown social media app, Elyments. Users will now be able to download this app from the Google Play store.
Questions have been frequently raised on social media about data privacy, and most of foreign companies are often viewed with an element of scepticism. Therefore, the element of data privacy has been put at the forefront in this social media app. It is said that the user’s data in the Elyments app will be safe and no third party will be able to take it without permission. Apart from this, features like end-to-end encryption too have been provided to protect users’ data. The app also comes with a camera feature that has built-in filters and augmented reality (AR) characters. The app also has messaging and group chat capabilities. Users can also get news updates about a variety of topics from across the country. This app is available in eight Indian languages.
