Based on the mathematical modelling it is understood that India is expected to have a temperature change of 2°C by the end of the year 2100. The prediction on India’s temperature rise was made by Dr Madhavan Nair Rajeevan, Secretary, Ministry of Earth Sciences. He stated his observation while delivering a lecture under the eminent scientist category of CSIR-Summer Research Training Programme (CSIR-SRTP), 2020 on the topic “Science of Climate Change”.
Speaking on science and climate change, Dr Rajeevan said, “India is ready to overcome these challenges. Our meaning is drawn up with systems modelling and climate change. According to our calculations, constant climate change will increase the air temperature and humidity levels on the surface and increase the duration of the summer season.”
Thank you, Prof Dhawan. Congratulations for organizing this useful training program. https://t.co/Ho2K8SxBjo

He also pointed out that the climate change scenario is also affecting the rainfall trend in India. As a result, excessive rains, strong winds, intense tropical cyclones will be seen to increase convection. This can increase sea level and coastal erosion along with more floods and drought.
In recent studies, it has been established that the cause of climate change is mainly due to human activities now. Talking about the global scenario of climate change he said that everywhere climate is warming up in the globe and the warming is not uniform. He further added that climate change is also affecting the rain pattern of India. The whole world is grappling with the problem of the warming of the climate. He mentioned that the warming in the Arctic region is very high because of melting in the Arctic sea. He further added that there has been a drastic change after the 1990s which is very precarious for the future and by 2050 there may be Arctic sea without sea ice.
